That's me and Steve Robertson at the Knights-n-Knaves Alehouse social at NTRPG CON last week. (Steve is the proprietor of VANQUISHING LEVIATHAN LLC.) We're running a scenario we put together called The Mystic Cup of Gygax (or Alucard's Revenge!). At this point we still thought we could pull off a TPK, but alas, no!
(FYI: click on the pictures to embiggen them.)
This session was a riot! 2 DMs, 21 players, and 4 cases of homebrew beer-- how could this possibly not rock?! (There are already a few reviews of the event out there on the forums. Seek them out here, here, and elsewhere, if you're interested.)
The game featured possessed characters killing each other, characters killing the DMs, a secretly evil character leading the party to their doom, and finally the ultimate betrayal and an appearance by Demogorgon to tie up the loose ends. Somehow the whole gaggle of ne'er-do-wells survived what should have been an easy TPK!
