I guess the midnight auction is technically Day 5. (It starts Saturday at midnight, which is then actually Sunday?) Anyway, with low attendance (from the COVID hysteria), I thought I might actually be able to get some good stuff. Here's my first ever win at an NTRPG Con auction! (The PHB is Doug's-- focus only on the boardgame.)

NTRPG CON XII LIVE BLOG DAY 3.2

This post should have gone up last night, but my game ran really long. I was running The Tomb of F'Chelrak, which I located on the "West" panel of the Outdoor Survival mapboard. Ended up having a very exciting battle in one of the early interior areas involving skeletons, gray oozes, gray-ooze-covered-skeletons, and an oil-covered-flaming-ooze that attached itself to a characters face.

NTRPG CON XII LIVE BLOG DAY 2

Sorry for the lack of posts today. I had a hectic schedule. Ran OUTDOOR SURVIVAL OD&D from 10AM to about 4:30, with about a 1/2 hour turn-around before the K&KA anti-social. No pics from the OUTDOOR SURVIVAL game. That game is so intense, with so many random, movig parts, that I had no time for photos. It really is an exhausting game to run, but super fun! (Thanks, Patrick, for always signing up for this!)

That being the case, when Chris C. (i.e., FLAMBEAUX, originally scheduled to run HUMBLEBEES for the K&KA social) showed up today, I poured all of my CHA stat into convincing him to give me break and run it. He Did! Awesomely cool scenario!

These guys won OD&D! When I ran this module (Jaquay's Lost Temple) 3 weeks ago with the "veteran" players in my home group, they got TPK'd! These guys beat the whole thing and killed the Demon at the end in 7 rounds! (One round before their haste spell expired.)

I was worried that Steve wouldn't wear his anti-COVID mask, but he kept it on the whole time!

Got here way early. Even beat Doug, so I ate lunch and studied tonight's game. Doug showed up as I was finishing my cookie. This year's entrance banner by Diesel is badass. I loaded in and set up The Scribes of Sparn display. Now I need to look up my schedule so I know where I'm s'posed to be!

NTRPG Con Is On!!!

Sheesh! It took forever for it to arrive! After weeks, nay, months of arcane on-again-off-again messaging and rumors, NTRPG Con 2020 is go for launch!

The Cube Controller (i.e., me) is running 5 games, scheduled as follows:

• WED P.M.: The Lost Temple (old Jaquays/JG scenario from the Book of Treasure Maps)
• THUR A.M.: Outdoor Survival (OD&D Hex Crawl on the Outdoor Survival gameboard)
• THUR P.M.: Knights & Knaves Alehouse Anti-Social (Tomb of Ra-Hotep, ala the appendix in the OD&D Tomb of Horrors)
• FRI P.M.: Tomb of F'Chlerak (expanded/re-edited version of the Jaquays scenario of similar title)
• SAT A.M.: The Odboxx of Zoforon (Original Planet Eris adventure by the "Blood Master"; he I are co-DMing this one)

The Scribes of Sparn modules and the Planet Eris campaign setting will be available (hopefully near the registration table). I'm debating whether to bring my computer for some live blogging. If you stop by the Anti-Social on Thursday night there might be free beer. (Hint!)
